Chameleon BioSurfaces is developing the next generation of polymer coatings for implantable medical devices, such as drug eluting stents.

Unlike current generation polymers, which are spray- or dip-coated on to devices, our proprietary coatings are polymerised directly from the metal surface using a patented electrodeposition process, and can be derivatised according to clinical requirements. Our polymer coatings have extremely strong adhesion and proven biocompatibility to ISO 10993 standards. Design flexibility with no compromise to adhesion properties allows for features such as drug loading/elution and lubricity to be incorporated at sub-micron thickness.
